880: Picnic at Hanging Rock
The cast
and crew traveled to Adelaide, co-incidentally arrived on February 14th - St.
Valentine's Day, the day on which in 1900, the action starts in both the book
and film.
Despite
many reports to the contrary, this movie is not based on a true story.
Russell Boyd reportedly enhanced the film's diffuse and
ethereal look with the simple technique of placing a piece of bridal veil over
the camera lens.
