TRIVIA: (at around 4 mins) The "girl with necklace" at his magic show is played by Alice Kim Cage, Nicolas Cage's wife.

The diner where Nicolas Cage runs into Jessica Biel's character is the same diner used in xXx (2002) with Vin Diesel.

At the cabin, Cage tells a joke about a Buddhist monk ordering a hot dog. He actually ruins the joke when he messes up the punchline, saying "I'll have one with everything." However, the actual line is "Make me one with everything", a subtle but extremely important difference.

TRIVIA: When Will Sawyer and Zhao first meet, Sawyer greets him with some Mandarin, and Zhao replies in the same language but there are no subtitles on the screen. He is asking in jest, "Your Mandarin is quite good; how is your English?".

During development, architect Adrian Smith was brought in to consult during the writing process. Smith led the work of Dubai's Burj Khalifa, which at the time of this movie's release is the tallest building in the world, and Saudi Arabia's Jeddah Tower, the building proposed to surpass the record held by the former.

TRIVIA: When Harry tells Gib that Helen is having an affair, Gib tells a story about his second wife taking everything when she left him - he says, "What kind of sick bitch takes the ice cube trays out of the freezer?" This is a reference to Tom Arnold's divorce from Roseanne Barr - she was reported to have taken his ice cube trays when she left him, too.

The set of bra and matching panties worn by Helen Tasker during the striptease scene were Jamie Lee Curtis' own. Additionally, the fall that she takes in the middle of the dance was unscripted, and that is hinted at when Harry sits up in alarm, then relaxes.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's biggest challenge for the movie was not doing all the physical stunts, but dancing a tango. He had to take dancing lessons to realistically perform the dance. He rehearsed the dance scene for about six months. He wanted to make sure he was as good at the tango as Al Pacino was in Scent of a Woman (1992).

Eliza Dushku broke some ribs during the filming of her Harrier jet stunt scenes.

Jamie Lee Curtis called the film "without question, the greatest experience of my professional life so far."

Arnold Schwarzenegger did a lot of his own horseback riding. He says he couldn't have done it without his riding experience on the Conan movies.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records this is the first movie to have a production budget of $100,000,000.

TRIVIA: The company name "Cyrez" was originally "Cyrex", but the real-life company Cyrix complained. The movie had been shot, but all dialogue was dubbed and company logos were digitally altered during post-production.

Director Chuck Russell and Producer Arnold Kopelson had a rocky relationship during the entire production. The only reason the film was able to go forward and ultimately be completed, was that Arnold Schwarzenegger got along with each man separately, and was able to negotiate schedules and logistics at a point where the two men refused to speak to each other.

Vanessa Williams and Arnold Schwarzenegger have titles. She was Miss America, and he was Mr. Olympia.

FILM 1622: PATRIOTS DAY

TRIVIA: The casting call for extras for the film resulted in a line stretching the entire quarter-mile length of Braintree Street in Allston.

First feature film scored by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross that isn't directed by David Fincher.

The films script was merged by two separate scripts. One was called "Boston Strong" and focused more on the action/thriller side of the story. Another was titled "Patriots Day" which was more of a factual drama. The final script was a mix of the two which would have the film be both factually correct and would have some tense action to keep the audience involved and entertained.

After David Ortiz's speech the Boston Red Sox went on to win the World Series that year in 2013.

FILM 1542: MISS CONGENIALITY

TRIVIA: Cheryl "Rhode Island's" answer to the question "What is your idea of a perfect date?" was actually used as an answer in a real beauty pageant.

This movie reunites Sandra Bullock & Banjamin Bratt since Demolition Man (1993). They portray partners in law enforcement in both films.

The opening scenes take place in a Russian restaurant named Laika. Laika was the first dog in space, and the name means "Barker."

FILM 1209: DIE HARD

TRIVIA: The scene in which Gruber and McClane meet was inserted into the script after Alan Rickman (Hans Gruber) was found to be proficient at mimicking American accents. The filmmakers had been looking for a way to have the two characters meet prior to the climax and capitalized on Rickman's talent.

Special, extra loud blanks were made for use in the film to add to the "hyper-realism" director John McTiernan was looking for. Unfortunately for Bruce Willis, some of these blanks were used for the scene where he kills a terrorist by shooting him through the bottom of a table where the terrorist is standing. The proximity of the gun to Willis' ear during this scene caused permanent hearing loss for Willis.

Alan Rickman's feature film debut.

John McTiernan was originally going to make Commando 2, but Arnold Schwarzenegger turned the role offer down. Commando 2 was transformed into this film; Schwarzenegger was the first actor offered the title role, but he again declined. Eventually Bruce Willis would get the part after it had been offered to Sylvester Stallone, Burt Reynolds, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and Richard Gere.

Director John McTiernan found it necessary to smash cut away from Hans Gruber's face whenever he fired a gun, because of Alan Rickman's uncontrollable habit of flinching from the noise and muzzle flash. If you look at Rickman's face when he shoots Takagi, you can see him wincing.

Ironically, Bruce Willis, sneered at for being an all-American hero by the head German terrorist, is actually more German than most of the villains; Alan Rickman is English and Alexander Godunov was Russian. Bruce Willis was born on March 19th 1955 in West Germany to an American father and a German mother.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore tied the knot at the Golden Nugget hotel in Las Vegas during this shoot, Moore having recently broken her engagement to actor Emilio Estevez. Little Richard presided over the ceremony and former brat packer Ally Sheedy was a bridesmaid.

Film 1079: Air Force One

Trivia: Harrison Ford told Gary Oldman to actually hit him during the filming of the fight scenes.

Gary Oldman's (Ivan Korshunov) chilling performance earned him the nickname "Scary Gary" during production, however he did not stay in character between the scenes. Director Wolfgang Peterson called the filming experience 'Air Force Fun' because of how comedic and genial Oldman would be off-screen. He also said that Oldman would suddenly return to the menacing film persona like a shot. Harrison Ford has since named Oldman as his favorite on-screen nemesis.
