FILM 1298: I’M NOT SCARED
TRIVIA: As the film is mainly told
from a child's point of view, director Gabriele Salvatores
instructed his director of photography Italo Petriccione to shoot
most of the film at a child's height.
This film was loosely based on a
true story of a kidnapped boy from Milan and the novella written about the
incident.
Salvatores interviewed nearly 600
boys for the part of Michele, ultimately settling for novice Giuseppe Cristiano, the
son of a Fiat car worker.
