TRIVIA: According to Duncan Jones, this movie is the first project he suggested to Sam Rockwell, but it was considered too big and thus Moon (2009) was made as the first movie.

The Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux roles are inspired and influenced by the Trapper John and Hawkeye Pierce characters from M.A.S.H. (1970), originally played by Elliott Gouldand Donald Sutherland.

David Hasselhoff is on the currency in the scene when Paul Rudd's character pays the babysitter.

Before the end credits roll, there is a dedication to the memory of the director's father David Jones (aka David Bowie) and his beloved nanny Marion Skene.

The film has been described by Duncan Jones as a "spiritual sequel" to his 2009 film Moon(2009)

The knife that Paul Rudd's character uses is called a Bowie knife. Named after the 19th-century American pioneer James "Jim" Bowie for whom it was created, the director, Duncan Jones' famous singer father, David Bowie actually took his stage name from him/it.

The opening music to the film is an orchestral arrangement (by Philip Glass) of the song 'Heroes'; a song originally written and performed by David Bowie. David Bowie is Director Duncan Jones' father.

TRIVIA: The director said when Garrett Hedlund dropped out 3 weeks before shooting began, he was given a list of 6 actors he could potentially choose from, 3 he dropped immediately. He went on to choose Skarsgard because of a YouTube video he saw of him drunk at a football match, in which he's trying to whip the rest of the crowd in a frenzy as he thought they were being too quiet. He thought this made him perfect for the role of Terry.

BIG LITTLE LIES (2017)

TRIVIA: HBO won the rights for the series in a bidding war against Netflix.

Nicole Kidman was once engaged to Lenny Kravitz, the father of her co-star Zoë Kravitz.

After collaborating on this project, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon re-teamed to obtain the rights for an adaptation of "Truly Madly Guilty," also a novel by Liane Moriarty.

Laura Dern has previously portrayed the mother of her two co-stars Shailene Woodley and Reese Witherspoon. In this she plays a fellow mother at the primary school.

The soundtrack went #1 on iTunes' Soundtrack Chart and #2 on the Top Albums U.S. iTunes Chart. In June 2017, the soundtrack was officially released on CD, followed by a double Vinyl release in July the same year. The latter features new songs, including one by the director of the series, Jean-Marc Vallee. The soundtrack also features cast member Zoe Kravitz's first official single, a rendition of Elvis' "Don't".

FILM 1641: THE LEGEND OF TARZAN 

TRIVIA: Alexander Skarsgård said that one of the main reasons he took this role was to impress his father Stellan Skarsgård. He said, "My dad is a massive Tarzan fan. Growing up, we had these VHS cassettes of the Johnny Weissmuller films, and that was my introduction to the character. But those films are seventy years old, and so much time has passed, that I think mine is a fresh take. I'll never compete with Johnny Weissmuller, but I just wanted to impress my father. He was thrilled; he was more excited than I was."

In the scene where Jane and Captain Rom are eating dinner, she crosses her fork and knife. The Captain rings the bell, and tells the servant Lady Clayton is finished. After she leaves, he places her knife and fork beside each other. In formal dining, when people cross their silverware, it means they did not enjoy the meal. When they are placed next to each other, it means they are finished.

Alexander Skarsgård's first cheat meal occurred more than five months into his training. Skarsgård had been on a very strict diet for five straight months, avoiding any fat completely, as he was in the process of developing an eight-pack. He said, "It was a Sunday, and we were training hard in the gym, and my trainer saw that my will to live was fading. He told me to put down the weights and he took me to lunch. That day he let me order whatever I wanted. I got to eat pizza, pasta, tiramisu. I get emotional just talking about that day." On the last day of filming, the crew congratulated him on the end of his diet by gifting him with a huge "Banoffee Pie," a British dessert. Skarsgård said that to celebrate, he ate the entire pie by himself, in a single sitting.

Alexander Skarsgård joked that he would like Tarzan to be drastically different in the sequel because of the heavy workout and diet demands on him. He said, "We have an outline already in which Tarzan gains weight. Tarzan remains hairy and does not have eight pack abs. It has no action and Tarzan eats cake, lots of cake. I wrote it."

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps was in talks to play Tarzan. Ironically, Johnny Weissmuller was an Olympic swimmer before landing in the role of the title character in the 1932 film and its multiple sequels.
