TRIVIA: The film was shot in Cape Town, South Africa. Although the film was produced by the German director Simon Verhoeven and German production companies, the largely English-speaking cast required that the film be shot in English. Filming ended in March 2014.

Even though the whole movie revolves around Facebook, it is not actually mentioned explicitly.

Yesterday I had an amazing day at the wedding of my dear friend Lindy.  We worked together for a long five years and she is one of the most genuine people I've ever met.  Her new husband Dave is definitely made for her, they are a truly perfect couple and it was a beautiful wedding.
