Scenes from the The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) appear on the TV in the background when Frank and Roz are in the borrowed mansion. Yaphet Kotto, who plays FBI agent O'Mally in this movie, also appeared in The Thomas Crown Affair; and Denis Learyappeared in the remake, The Thomas Crown Affair (1999).

FILM 1594: GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS

TRIVIA: Nicolas Cage did most of his own stunt driving for the film. He attended the Bondurant Driving School in Phoenix, Arizona, Willow Springs (another car driving school), and the Bobby Ore Stunt Driving School in preparation for the film. He liked the race car driving school so much that he continued to pursue it as a hobby after shooting was completed.

When Mirror Man is talking to the clerk at the police impound yard, a sign can be seen in the background that reads "If you leave your car unlocked it will be Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)". This same sign was used in the original 1974 version of the movie.

Christopher Eccleston did not actually have his drivers license during the shoot. He did not choose to take the drivers test until several years after the film was released.

Christopher Eccleston described this as a "terrible film in which I give a terrible performance", adding that, before Doctor Who (2005), people who recognised him mostly shouted "'You were in Gone in 60 Seconds, mate! You were shit!' And I have to laugh at that, because I was!""

When Memphis first talks to Otto in his shop, there is a decal on the window of a woodpecker. It is the same woodpecker that Nicolas Cage's has as a tattoo in Raising Arizona (1987).

TRIVIA: After Nicole (played by Audrey Hepburn) dresses up as a cleaning lady, Simon Dermott says "That does it. For one thing, it gives Givenchy a night off." Hubert de Givenchy was Audrey Hepburn's costume designer.

George C. Scott was originally cast as Leland, but was fired by William Wyler when he showed up late on his first day of work. He was replaced by Eli Wallach.

The book Nicole is reading in bed ('Hitchcock Magazine: Le Revue du Suspence') is a French version of the 'Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine', first published in 1956.

Film 980: Marnie

Trivia: Diane Baker has said that for the scene where she eavesdrops on Mark and Marnie talking outside of the house, Alfred Hitchcock came up to her, put his hands on her face, and physically manipulated it into having the expression he wanted for the scene.

Screenwriter Jay Presson Allen thought that the expensive car Mark drove and the fancy clothes worn by his father were ridiculous and out of place, but Alfred Hitchcock insisted that they were necessary to convey the proper feeling of Mark being part of an "American aristocracy" to the audience.

Alfred Hitchcock wanted Grace Kelly to make her screen comeback in the title role, but the people of Monaco were not happy with the idea of their princess playing a compulsive thief.

After rehearsing just a few scenes with co-star Sean Connery, Tippi Hedren asked Alfred Hitchcock, "Marnie is supposed to be frigid - have you seen him?" referring to the young Connery. Hitchcock's reply was reportedly, "Yes, my dear, it's called acting."
