Trivia: Martin Scorsese said the reason he
wanted Paul Schrader to write the
script is because he felt Schrader was best at writing about "New York in
the middle of the night".
Several times in the movie the
dispatcher tells the medics that they have a call for a 10-22. In the list of
10-codes, this usually means disregarding a call.
