TRIVIA: At one hour and fifty-eight minutes, this is not only the longest Pixar movie to date, but also the longest computer-animated movie to date, breaking Cars's record as longest Pixar film, which was one hour and fifty-seven minutes.

A typo on the movie theater marquee shown towards the end of the movie reads "A113", one of the most famous recurring Easter Eggs. Several Pixar producers and animators studied at California Institute of the Arts in classroom A113 and this number appears in every Pixar film.

HIDDEN MICKEY: The spirals on Screenslaver's hypnosis machine form a slightly lopsided, but still recognizable Mickey Mouse.

In one scene, while Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is trying to help Dash with his homework, he can be seen wrangling with "New Math", describing it as making no sense at all, and exclaiming "This is Math! Why would they change Math?" New Math was a brief, dramatic change in the way mathematics was taught in American grade schools during the 1960s (the approximate time frame of the Incredibles universe) which was highly criticized and quickly fell out of favor. The relevance of this joke evolves from the frustration modern parents (and students) occasionally experience with "Common Core" mathematics.

Made more money domestically in one weekend (one hundred eighty million dollars) than Pixar's previous summer release Cars 3 (2017) earned in its entire release of twenty weeks (one hundred fifty-three million dollars).

The fourteen-year gap between the first film and this follow-up was the longest waiting time between a Disney/Pixar movie and its sequel. (Finding Dory (2016)'s thirteen-year gap was the second longest, Monsters University (2013) was the third longest with a twelve-year gap, and Toy Story 3 (2010) was the fourth longest with an eleven-year gap.)

This was Pixar's twentieth feature film.

TRIVIA: Based on the novel "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr.

An alienist is a term for a psychiatrist who assesses the competence of a defendant in a law court.

The show takes place in 1896 New York City.

The full name of Luke Evans' character is John Schuyler Moore. Schuyler is an old New York Dutch family whose roots can be traced back to well before the founding of the nation and has close ties to the Roosevelt clan. A well-known descendant was Elizabeth Schuyler, wife of Alexander Hamilton.

Blackwell's Island was later named Welfare Island, and subsequently renamed Roosevelt Island. Due to the number of hospitals and asylums, the area was designated as a Hospital Park. By the mid-twentieth century, it became a mixed-use zone, through the introduction of residential developments, and by the twentieth-first century, a satellite campus of Cornell University and Franklin Roosevelt's Four Freedom Park was established at the Southern end of the Island.

The main titles for the series where created by the design studio "Elastic". The same studio responsible for the intro of True detective and Game of Thrones.

TRIVIA: Gillian Anderson declared that Stella Gibson is her favourite among all of the characters she has performed, even more than Scully from The X-Files (1993).

All of the episodes names are borrowed from lines in John Milton's epic poem "Paradise Lost".

Jamie Dornan was born in the same city where the story develops (Belfast, Northern Ireland).

Jamie Dornan originally auditioned for the part of a police officer.

Many characters are named after guitars or things related to that world, like makers (ex. Spector, Burns, Stagg). Smith (named for Paul Reed Smith or PRS guitars). Benedetto (taken from a jazz guitar company). Stella Gibson is actually a double guitar name.

Emmett J Scanlan and Bronagh Waugh previously played brother and sister in Hollyoaks(1995). They left the show at the same time to appear in this show together.

THE KILLING SEASON (2016)

"The Killing Season" from Executive Producer Alex Gibney follows documentarians, Joshua Zeman (Cropsey) and Rachel Mills as they investigate one of the most bizarre unsolved serial killer cases of our time -- ten dead sex workers discovered on Gilgo Beach, Long Island. Authorities believe these killings are the work of the Long Island Serial Killer, who after five years remains at large. Forging relationships with cyber-sleuths, journalists and victim's families, Zeman and Mills uncover connections that suggest Long Island is just the beginning.

TRIVIA: The writers didn't know Nick Offerman could already play the saxophone when they made his character, Ron Swanson, a secret saxophone player.

Ron's second ex-wife ("Tammy Two") is played by Megan Mullally, who in her real life is married to Nick Offerman (Ron).

Jay Jackson, the actor who plays the comically literal Pawnee newscaster Perd Hapley, was for many years an actual print and broadcast journalist and anchor at news outlets in San Diego and Los Angeles. After he retired from journalism in the mid-2000s, through a friend's manager he got a small role as a reporter on a 2007 episode of Dexter. He agreed to allow the manager to send him on other auditions, but only as long as they only were for reporter roles, since that was his professional background, so he ended up also playing reporters on TV shows such as Scandal, Revenge, The Closer, The Mentalist, Body of Proof, and Braindead, as well as in movies such as Battleship and Fast Five.

In the episode "London parts 1 & 2" Ben says to Andy "So all you did is stop drinking beer?" and Andy replies "Yea I lost like 50lbs in a month." This is a reference to Chris Pratt's real life weight loss for his role in Zero Dark Thirty. He actually lost 60lbs.

Mayfair Games, makers of Settlers of Catan, were contracted to make Ben Wyatt's Cones of Duneshire look like a professional board game. Instead, Mayfair Games made a playable game with a full set of rules. However, it's complex and dense, so it has not been produced for the market. It was played at GenCon 2014 in Indiana, where 33 people paid $100 each for a ticket to play and the Ledgerman position (the scorekeeper who doesn't play) was auctioned off. The event made more than $20,000 for an Indiana food bank.

Chris Pratt modelled Andy's singing voice after Eddie Vedder, frontman of the band Pearl Jam, of whom Andy Dwyer is a huge fan.

In Season 7 Episode 12, one of the children trick or treating at Andy and April's house is wearing a Star Lord costume. Chris Pratt (Andy Dwyer) played the character of Star Lord in Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy (2014).

WONDERFALLS (2004)

13 episodes were produced, but the show was canceled after only four episodes had aired. Afterwards, attempts were made to interest another network in airing the remaining nine episodes, which would have made the show one of, if not the first, American series to change networks midway through its first season. Ultimately, these efforts were unsuccessful, though the entire series was later released on DVD. 

Caroline Dhavernas normally speaks with a French-Canadian accent and had to take lessons in order to adopt a more American tone of voice for the role.

Kerry Washington was originally cast in the role of Mahandra, but was recast after shooting her scenes for the pilot. The role was recast (and that episode's scenes were reshot) with Tracie Thoms.

Though the show (and the titular shop) are supposedly set on the American side of the border, every exterior shot of Niagara Falls is obviously taken from the Canadian side. The city of Niagara Falls, New York is often seen across the Niagara River which divides the province of Ontario from the state of New York.

Several writers from the show provided voices for the muses.

Adam Scott was originally cast in the role of Aaron Tyler.

Lee Pace would later go on to star in another series created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies.
